PIRATE.COM Artist Residency Promotion - 2024

How to Apply

  1. Choose Your Track: Select a song you've written, produced, or collaborated on. DJs can also submit a mix.

  2. Hit Apply: Complete the application form. It will only take approximately 5 minutes to fill in.

  3. Watch Your Inbox: Expect to hear back from PIRATE.COM by April 26th.

  4. Face the Public: One artist will win 10K in studio credit in their local currency.

PIRATE RESIDENCY TIMELINE

APPLICATIONS OPEN: February 29th - March 24th

Applications for performance slots and radio play are open to any artist with a Pirate account. (Sign up here if you don’t have one.)

JUDGING + RESIDENTS CONTACTED: March 25th - April 26th

Pirate’s A&R team and partners will review all entries and select the winning Residents. Winners will be contacted by April 26th.

RESIDENTS ANNOUNCED: May 8th

The winning artists will be announced across Pirate and partner social channels.

PUBLIC VOTE: May 10th - May 19th

Winning entries will be uploaded to YouTube for public voting. The winner of the public vote will receive an additional £10,000 in free studio credit and the opportunity to headline our showcase event.

WINNER OF PUBLIC VOTE ANNOUNCED: May 20th

The winning artist will be announced across Pirate and partner social channels.

ONGOING SUPPORT FROM PIRATE AND PARTNERS

What Else You Get If You Win:

  • Gigs and Radio: Every Pirate resident will play at least one gig, get a guest DJ slot on one of our partner radio stations, or have a track played on the radio.

  • Studio Credit: Each Pirate resident will receive £250 in studio credit to use at any Pirate studios, with the opportunity to win an additional £10,000 in studio credit through our public vote.

  • Mentorship: Our residents will be mentored by industry experts in various aspects of building a music career, from release strategies to networking.

  • Ditto Music Subscription: Every applicant to the Pirate Residency scheme in 2024 will receive a 6-month free trial of Ditto Music.

  • Music Promotion: We'll collaborate with our residents to help promote their new music using Pirate channels and through our media partners.
