Capture is a new feature, currently available in Bristol, Hackney, and Dalston.
This is an App for iPhones to record and sync high-quality Audio with Videos from your DJ Session!
What you'll need to do:
-Download the Capture App from the App Store
-Login with your Pirate Account
-Grant all of the Permissions required
(Please note, it requires photo library access but Pirate has absolutely no access to your library)
Once your session has started, it should automatically connect and will be indicated with a green 'Connected' message. If you do not see this, you can select 'Connect to Studio #' in the App. Don't see your booking in the App? Swipe down on the "Bookings" tab to refresh your bookings.
Key Factors for a Successful Recording:
-You must be connected to Pirate Studios Wifi
-If you're using the Video feature, the phone must remain unlocked and we highly recommend using 'Do Not Disturb' to avoid disrupting the recording process
-Your phone must remain unlocked while connected to Pirate Wifi and the app must be open to download your tracks, otherwise, they could be lost. Once you stop a recording (or if you reach booking end time whilst making a recording) the recording will end, so please stay connected to the Wifi and leave the App open.
This should only take a few minutes and you're welcome to stay in the Communal Area of the studio whilst waiting for any downloads to complete.
-Ensure you have enough storage available on your phone to download the recordings (1 hour requires roughly 3.6GB and you should have double that amount of storage on your phone)
Troubleshooting:
No Audio Detected
This is usually caused by the audio cables from the mixer to the recording device being unplugged from REC OUT on the back of the mixer. Please insert cables to restore the connection.
System Offline
Please try exiting out of the app completely and reopening the app to establish the connection. If that does not work, please restart your phone.
Try turning off “Limit IP Address tracking” on the wifi settings
Turn off battery saver
Make sure you are on the PIRATE wifi
Storage Warning
If you have less than 8GB of storage available on your phone, the App will display a warning notification. To free up space for your recordings, we recommend offloading unused Apps or work through Apple's recommendations for optimizing storage in Storage Settings.
Battery Warning
If your phone falls below 20%, the App will give you a warning. If your phone dies during your recording, the recording will no longer be available. We advise keeping your phone plugged in to avoid this.
