The AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ supports direct streaming from major platforms when connected to the internet. You can log in through Rekordbox or directly on the unit (for supported services).
Supported platforms include:
Beatport Streaming
Beatsource Streaming
TIDAL
SoundCloud Go+
⚠️ You’ll need a paid account for these services, and a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection in the room.
1️⃣ Connect to Wi-Fi
Press MENU/UTILITY.
Go to Network Settings → Wi-Fi.
Select the studio network or your own hotspot and enter the password.
Once connected, a Wi-Fi icon appears on the top bar of the screen.
2️⃣ Log in to your streaming service
Option A – Using Rekordbox on your laptop:
Open Rekordbox and log in to your chosen streaming platform under [Preferences → Library → Streaming Services].
Your streaming tracks will now appear directly in Rekordbox.
Load tracks to Deck 1 or 2 as normal.
Option B – Using the XDJ-AZ screen (if supported):
Press [SOURCE] → Streaming.
Choose your platform (Beatport, TIDAL, etc.).
Log in with your account credentials.
Browse and load tracks using the touchscreen.
3️⃣ Playing streamed tracks
Tracks buffer before playback — allow a few seconds for loading.
You can set cue points, loops, and FX the same as with local files.
Streaming tracks can’t be recorded directly using MASTER REC.
4️⃣ Connection tips
Use a stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection; avoid mobile hotspots when possible.
Keep at least 5–10 Mbps available bandwidth for smooth playback.
If streaming stops, reconnect Wi-Fi via Utility → Network Settings.
