The AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ supports direct streaming from major platforms when connected to the internet. You can log in through Rekordbox or directly on the unit (for supported services).

Supported platforms include:

  • Beatport Streaming

  • Beatsource Streaming

  • TIDAL

  • SoundCloud Go+

⚠️ You’ll need a paid account for these services, and a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection in the room.

1️⃣ Connect to Wi-Fi

  1. Press MENU/UTILITY.

  2. Go to Network Settings → Wi-Fi.

  3. Select the studio network or your own hotspot and enter the password.

  4. Once connected, a Wi-Fi icon appears on the top bar of the screen.

2️⃣ Log in to your streaming service

Option A – Using Rekordbox on your laptop:

  1. Open Rekordbox and log in to your chosen streaming platform under [Preferences → Library → Streaming Services].

  2. Your streaming tracks will now appear directly in Rekordbox.

  3. Load tracks to Deck 1 or 2 as normal.

Option B – Using the XDJ-AZ screen (if supported):

  1. Press [SOURCE] → Streaming.

  2. Choose your platform (Beatport, TIDAL, etc.).

  3. Log in with your account credentials.

  4. Browse and load tracks using the touchscreen.

3️⃣ Playing streamed tracks

  • Tracks buffer before playback — allow a few seconds for loading.

  • You can set cue points, loops, and FX the same as with local files.

  • Streaming tracks can’t be recorded directly using MASTER REC.

4️⃣ Connection tips

  • Use a stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection; avoid mobile hotspots when possible.

  • Keep at least 5–10 Mbps available bandwidth for smooth playback.

  • If streaming stops, reconnect Wi-Fi via Utility → Network Settings.
