  • Plug your mic/instrument into Input 1.
  • Turn on 48V if using a condenser mic.
  • Set gain so it's green (not red).

Options β†’ Audio Settings

  • Windows: MiniFuse ASIO.
  • Mac: Core Audio β†’ MiniFuse 1.
  • Buffer: 128–256 samples.

Press F9 β†’ select a mixer track. On the right under IN, choose: Input 1 – MiniFuse 1.

You should see levels moving when you talk or play.

🎧 4. Choose monitoring style

  • Direct Monitor ON (button on MiniFuse) = no latency, no FX.
  • FL Studio monitor (green speaker icon) = FX, but some latency.

⏺️ 5. Arm & record

  • Click the disk icon on the mixer track β†’ choose a save location.
  • Press Record β†’ select "Audio into Playlist as an audio clip".

Record, stop, and your audio will appear in the Playlist.

  • Plug your mic/instrument into Input 1 or 2.
  • Turn on 48V if using a condenser mic.
  • Adjust GAIN until levels stay green (avoid red).
  • Inputs 3/4 on the back are line-level only.

Options β†’ Audio Settings

  • Windows: MiniFuse ASIO.
  • Mac: Core Audio β†’ MiniFuse 4.
  • Buffer: 128–256 samples for recording.

πŸŽ›οΈ 3. Pick your input in the mixer

Press F9 β†’ select a mixer track. On the right under IN, choose one:

  • Input 1 – MiniFuse 4 (front left)
  • Input 2 – MiniFuse 4 (front right)
  • Input 3 – MiniFuse 4 (rear L)
  • Input 4 – MiniFuse 4 (rear R)

You'll see the meters move when the signal comes in.

🎧 4. Choose monitoring type

  • Direct Monitor ON (on the interface) = zero latency, no FX.
  • FL Studio monitor (green speaker icon) = hear effects, slight latency.

⏺️ 5. Arm & record

  • Click the disk icon on the mixer track β†’ choose a save folder.
  • Press Record β†’ select "Audio into Playlist as an audio clip".

Your recording will appear as a waveform in the Playlist.

Troubleshooting

🎀 Mic troubleshooting in FL Studio (relevant for Minifuse 1 and 4)

No signal in FL Studio

Input not selected: go to Mixer β†’ choose a track β†’ IN β†’ Input 1 – MiniFuse 1.

MiniFuse not selected as audio device: go to Options β†’ Audio Settings β†’ MiniFuse ASIO.

Mic unplugged or faulty: check the cable and connection.

Signal too low / weak

Gain too low: turn the GAIN knob up.

Phantom power off for condenser mic: press the 48V button.

Clipping / distortion

Gain too high: reduce the GAIN knob.

No sound when monitoring

Direct Monitor off / speaker icon off: turn on Direct Monitor, or enable the green speaker icon in the Mixer.

Latency / delay when monitoring

Buffer size too high: lower the buffer to 128–256 samples in Audio Settings.
