DJ: How do I format/export tracks to a USB drive correctly?

If you are planning on using a USB stick with the CDJs, then you will need to:

  1. Format it to FAT32 ahead of your session. Formatting will erase all of the USB's data, so make sure you've backed it all up first! The only format that always works on all Pioneer CDJs is FAT32.
  2. Export your tracks from your laptop through Rekordbox onto the USB stick.

We recommend using a high-quality USB drive, e.g. those made by SanDisk, as these tend to have less chance of becoming corrupt over time.
