Everything You Need to Know Before Your DJ Session
What to bring, and what we don't provide
Before you head to a DJ room, take a quick look below to make the most of your booking. Always check book.pirate.com for the full equipment list in your booked room — anything extra, you'll need to bring yourself.
🎒 What to bring
Headphones
A wired pair with a 3.5mm or quarter-inch jack to plug into the mixer — we don't provide headphones in the studios. A headphone adaptor (small jack to big jack) is also recommended as a backup.
USB stick, laptop (and cables), or CDs

USB stick — USB hard drives won't work. Make sure your stick is formatted to FAT32 and your tracks are processed through Rekordbox beforehand, or you're likely to get an error.

Laptop — if you DJ using Rekordbox, Serato, or Traktor, you'll need at least 3 cables for a Standard room and 4 for Pro to connect it to the CDJs (3 USB A-B, one per CDJ and one for the DJM) plus a USB hub. You'll also need a paid version of the DJ software.
