Before you head down to a DJ room, have a quick read over the information below to make the most of your booking. As always, please check book.pirate.com for the full list of equipment available for your session in the room you have booked - you will need to bring any extras outside of that list.
What to bring:
- your Headphones. A wired pair of headphones with a 3.5mm or quarter-inch jack to plug into the mixer — we don't provide headphones in the studios. A headphones adaptor (small jack to big jack) as a backup solution is also highly recommended!
-
your USB stick OR laptop (and cables) OR CDs:
-
- USB stick. USB hard drives will not work. Make sure your USB stick is formatted in FAT32, and don't forget to process the tracks through Rekordbox beforehand. Without any of these requirements your USB drive is quite likely to show an error message. Get more info on preparing your USB here.
- Laptop. If you DJ using Rekordbox, Serato or Traktor you'll need to bring at least 3 cables to connect it to the CDJs (3 USB A-B) and a USB hub - one cable for each CDJ and one for the DJM. You will also need a paid version of the DJ software to use on our decks. Get more info on connecting your laptop and what you will need here.
- CDs. They are only supported in rooms with CDJ 2000 NXS2.

Are you in a DJ Zero room?
DJ Zero rooms only come with speakers! Bring your own decks/mixer or controller, laptop and your own RCA or 3.5mm cables. More info here.
