How Do I Turn on the Lights in My Studio?

Turning on the Lights in Your Studio

Using the LED colour wheel panel

Every studio has a lighting switch, either a button on the wall next to the inner side of the door, or an LED colour wheel panel. In a DJ room, this panel is on the DJ booth itself, above the CDJs and mixer. These switches turn on the main room lights — some other lights (e.g. backdrop lights) aren't user controllable and turn on automatically with the main light.

Some lights are motion-sensored. If they go off during your session, you may just need to move around the room to activate them again.

💡 Turning on the LED colour wheel lighting

  1. When the light is off, a blue light will be on above the power button on the control panel.
  2. Turn on the lighting by touching the POWER button in the centre of the control panel (A).
  3. Change colour by sliding your finger around the colour wheel (B).
  4. Add white light by touching W (C).

🌈 Using multicolour effects

For different automatic multicolour effects, press MODE repeatedly to cycle through the options.

🔆 Changing the brightness of the main lights

To increase brightness, press and hold B and SPD+ (E). To decrease brightness, simply press and hold B and SPD- (E).

🎨 Can I change secondary lights in the room?

Unfortunately not. Any backdrop lighting, or lights that won't turn on using the LED colour light switch, aren't user controllable — these only turn on automatically with the main lights, once there's power in the room.
