Common issues in Recording Standard rooms

πŸ”Š Volume knob not responding or no sound

Make sure the speaker cables are plugged into Outputs 1L and 2R β€” otherwise the volume knob won't respond.Β
If no sound is playing, check both speakers have a power light on the front, and that they're selected as the Output in your laptop settings and recording software (DAW).

🎚️ Clicks and pops

If you're hearing clicks and pops in your projects, try increasing the buffer size in your host application or the audio driver.

⏱️ Latency issues

Latency is a small delay, and it's a direct byproduct of your sample rate and buffer size settings β€” adjusting these in your host application or audio driver will affect it.Β
See Arturia's Minifuse 4 settings guide for how to change these in your DAW.

If Direct Monitoring is pressed on the interface, you'll need to turn off monitoring for the recording channel in your DAW too β€” otherwise you'll get an echo through the speakers or headphones.

🎧 Headphones 2 not working

  1. Download the Minifuse Control Center.
  2. Open it and select the Outputs tab at the top.
  3. Select Outputs 3&4, then on the right side of the mixer: Analog 1, Analog 2, USB 3-4.
  4. Click the + icon next to USB 3-4 Level Mixer β€” a window called "Add Channels to Mixer" will open.
  5. Select [1-2] under Computer Sources to add USB 1-2 (it'll turn blue), then click outside the window to close it.
  6. Unmute the newly added USB 1-2 Level Mixer β€” audio should now come out of both headphones.

πŸ”„ How to perform a factory reset

Still having issues? A factory reset of the interface clears up most problems.

  1. Turn off the Minifuse.
  2. Press and hold "Instrument 2" and "48V".
  3. While holding those buttons, press "A" to power the Minifuse 4 back on.
  4. Once it's powered on, release all buttons.
  5. The Minifuse Control Center will detect the interface is in a special update mode and prompt you to select "Upgrade".
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete. If issues persist, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Minifuse Control Center.
