Starting September 23rd, if you joined Pirate before October 2022, you’ll need to re-verify your ID when booking a session at any of our London studios. This update is part of our ongoing efforts to keep our studios safe and secure for all.
Why are we asking you to re-verify?
Recent incidents involving older accounts have led us to introduce this re-verification step. Ensuring your ID is up-to-date helps us maintain a safe and creative environment for everyone.
What you need to do

- Make sure the name on your Pirate account matches your ID. You can update your details by visiting My Account. To do that:
- Log in to PIRATE.COM.
- Click the avatar in the top-right corner.

- From here, you’ll be able to edit your name if required.
2. Verify your ID during your next booking
You can only verify your account during a booking, so make sure you have your ID ready when locking in your next session.
- You’ll be prompted to verify your ID during the booking process. Click 'start verification' to begin the process:
- We accept over 2000 types of documents from 19 countries, so there’s a high chance your ID will be supported.
- Next, select the issuing country of your ID to see what documents we accept:
- Click the ID type you want to upload. Once you’ve selected the ID type you’ll be uploading, you’ll be prompted to upload a clear image of your ID and a selfie.
- If your pictures are clear and have been accepted, you'll get to the below page letting you know that your ID verification has been submitted:
- Verification takes about 5 minutes, and with clear images, you’ll be approved instantly.
- Once you’ve uploaded these images, you can continue with your booking. You’ll see progress on the checks in the bottom right-hand corner:
You’ll only be able to complete your booking once your documents have been verified. If there's an issue with your verification, please reach out to our Artist Support team who will be able to assist you.
When does this apply?
The re-verification process will be required for bookings made on or after September 23rd, 2024.
