This article provides an overview of the steps to take if you wish to permanently delete your account with PIRATE.COM. You can delete your account at any time by following the steps outline below 

How to Delete Your Account

1. Log in to your PIRATE account using your email address and password 

2. Once signed in, you can navigate to the top right-hand of the page 

3. Click on the 'My Account' icon, next to 'Sign-Out'

4. Once you have clicked 'My Account' you will be redirected to your account, where you will be able to see any upcoming bookings, your credit balance, and your referral code if you have successfully completed a 'Played' booking (a booking that you have attended)

5. From here, you can click the avatar symbol at the top of this page, and you will be redirected to the 'Account Details' section of the website. 
6. Once on this page, scroll to the bottom, and click 'Delete' account, at the bottom right of the page. 

7. You will now need to confirm you are happy to proceed with your account deletion, by entering your password. Once this has been entered, your account and any other information held by PIRATE.COM will be deleted, in line with GDPR. 

What happens if I make a mistake?

  • Before deleting your account, you will be prompted to confirm that you are happy to proceed with the deletion request. However, if you change your mind before completing the request, click 'I've changed my mind' and the process will not go ahead.
  • If you have already requested the deletion, but changed your mind, please drop an email to support@pirate.com and we can stop the process for you.
  • If you change your mind after 30 days, unfortunately, we cannot reverse this process, and you will need to create a new account with us. 

What happens if I delete my account, and I have upcoming bookings or credit? 

  • When you request the deletion of your account, any upcoming bookings will immediately be canceled without refund. If you would like to delete your account, but still have upcoming bookings scheduled, please reach out to support@pirate.com, before requesting your account to be deleted. 
  • Deleting your account will also delete your access to any credit remaining on your account. If this credit is eligible for refund, please reach out to support@pirate.com before requesting the deletion of your account. Please bear in mind that PIRATE.COM can not refund promotional credit or refer-a-friend credit under any circumstances. 

I owe and outstanding balance to PIRATE.COM, or have been involved in a security incident 

  • Please note that we reserve the right to keep some personal data if your account has been flagged for suspicious activity, if we have lawful grounds for retaining your data despite your request to delete and/or if we reasonably believe we need to retain certain personal data in order to prevent unlawful activity or to honour your marketing and other contact preferences.
